Rossella Pescatori: I was born in Venezia, Italy, and swam for Italian National Team from 1984 to 1995. As breaststroker I competed in many international competitions, such as World Cups, European Championships, World Championships, University Games. I moved to LA in 1999 to study at UCLA, and for fun I started swimming as a master swimmer. I earned my Ph.D. in Medieval and Renaissance Studies in 2004. In 2006 I won the 200 breast at Fina Master World Championships in Stanford for age group 35-39, and in 2011 I got the second place at Fina Master World Championships in Riccione for the age group 40-44. As a distance/open water swimmer, I competed in several events. I was member of the Italian National Team from 1994 to 1997. As master for several years, I won my age group Hermosa-Manhattan Pier to Pier and always qualified between the 10 top women. Right now I coach for SCAQ at ES, on Tuesday and Friday.
